Ucchasthana & Neechasthana

1.The door in North-East in East → Ucchasthana (Good)
2.The door in North-East in North → Ucchasthana (Good)
3.The door in North-West in West → Ucchasthana (Good)
4.The door in South-East in South → Ucchasthana (Good)
5.As long as North, West and South doors are perpendicular to each other (according to the compass needle) it is Good.

6.Neechasthana is generally considered Bad

    1.Leave more empty space near Eshanya (ஈசானம்) i.e., 

    North-East e.g.: Well, Water storage (sump) since its lighter weight.     Also water cools Vaastu purusha’s head.

    2.Taller position should be in South and West, without leaving more space. (Its Demons’ right and left leg) e.g.: Growing trees 

    3.Kitchen in South-East (அக்னி)

    4.Window or door in North-West in West

    5.South-West(நிருதி) should be higher (Vaastu Purusha’s seat)

    6.Brahma should be in plane without any ups and downs.

Raahu Kethu Peyarchi (Transit) 2011

 

Raahu Kethu Peyarchi takes place on 4th of May 2011.  The date may vary from Panjangam to Panjangam.  According to my calculations it takes place 04-05-2011 at 06-20 hours in the morning.


As is well known, Raahu and Kethu traverse in the anti-clock-wise direction, while all other Grahas traverse in the clock-wise direction.


Raahu moves into Vrichiga Raasi and Kethu moves into Rishabha Raasi and are going to traverse there until 16-01-2013.


Vrichigam is ruled by Sevvai (Mars) and Rishabham is ruled by Sukran (Venus).


The relationship of Raahu and Kethu with the Lords Vrichigam and Rishabham are friendly and hence let us hope that the overall outcome of this transition will not be so much threatening.


Goddess Shree Durga is considered to be the Navagraha Nayaki.  More particularly for Raahu and Kethu, Shree Durga carries greater significance.


On the eve of Raahu Kethu Peyarchi, perform Archana to Raahu Kethu and as well to Goddess Shree Durga.  She will give relief from all distresses of life and bring in happiness and prosperity in life.

Raahu is moving into your 4th house and Kethu into your10th house.

Suga Sthanam is impaired because of Raahu in the 4the 4th place.  You will have to sacrifice some or many of your comforts of life.  Your relationship with the outside world is likely to suffer.

You will have to suffer a separation from the family, more particularly from your mother.

Some will have to travel abroad under strain and compelling conditions, which you might not prefer at this point of time.

If you think that just by aligning your house according to the rules of Vaastu Shastra can clear off all your problems then the answer is NO. Just reading a book on Vaastu, and making the necessary changes on the home front can never bring the desired changes, and sometimes can lead to major disappointments and mammoth expenditure. The best example to explain this is to, either fitting yourself in a ready-to-wear dress material, or getting your dress stitched according to your needs. The personal choices may differ, but it is always true that the stitched material will FIT better than the ready-to-wear dress. This explains that even Vaastu reading has to be customized according to the person?s charts, as the reading vary from person-to-person.


Vaastu and astrology (horoscope) is closely interrelated. And most of the sacred sciences of India are interconnected in one of the other way, directly or indirectly.

The answer is simple..


If the 4th house is afflicted and if the same affliction is seen in the Chaturamsa, the person cannot build a Vaastu perfect house.


Another frequently asked question is, will rectification of the house bring in prosperity?


It all depends upon the time of the native. If a good dasha and good bhukti is running along with a Raja Yoga in the offing, Vaastu rectification will bring in lot of success. If there is no Raja Yoga, there will be difficulties.

The foundation stone of any society is considered to be its intellectual class. The essential condition for the overall progress of the society is progress of this class. The pace of the progress of this class can be increased many fold if a few vastu rules are followed.


For this class east facing plot can serve the purpose best. The Indra door will lead to inculcation and development of divine qualities that improve the practical application skills and the intellectual can optimize the use of his knowledge not only for himself but also for the welfare of the society.


Moving on to the internal construction a bedroom in the south for the intellectual will strengthen and increase his rights and his study room in the west of the house will help reach great heights. An office in the north will turn out to be very helpful especially for doctors and engineers.


If there exists a combination of spiritual principles and qualities with his/her profession, this belief can be well represented by constructing a drawing room up in the north where he/she should necessarily spend sometime on a regular basis.


A large vacant space in the east helps in the improvement of knowledge and space in the north shall bring in wealth.


It is a universally accepted fact that construction in Brahma place is strictly prohibited. Hence at the time of construction it should be left free.


1.      Construct entrances in places where deities Indra and Jayanta exist.


2.      Bedrooms in south.


3.      Study to be constructed in the west of the plot.


4.      Spend adequate time in the drawing room while studying.


5.      More vacant space in the east will bring more knowledge.


6.      Large Vacant space in the north will bring wealth.


7.      Brahma’s place needs to be protected.

Vaastu and Diseases

It is universally known that our body is constituted of 5 elements namely fire, water, air, earth and sky. It is due to the intricate balance of these elements on the planet earth that led to the evolution of humans and other organisms. Any imbalance of these elements leads to diseases in humans. The balance of these natural elements can be restored through vaastu.


Different conditions are created for the existence of humans. All ailments arising due to vaastu defects are either by vastu defect in construction or due to residing in a defective direction. There is a strong link between vaastu and the human body. Any vaastu defect in construction can lead to disease in the human body. The connection between disease and vaastu defects in a house can be attributed to the following points.


1. A heavy construction in the north-east leads to insomnia, mental disorders, tension, irritation and a constant state of illness prevails or all the natural energy gets restricted.


2. An extension of south-east, a bedroom or a door in this direction can cause mental stress / tension, disturbed mind, high blood pressure etc. An underground water tank in this part of the house can lead to dehydration, diarrhea, and problems from offspring, kidney problems and ultimately there is no mental peace.


3. Sleeping in North West can be the cause of aggressive ness and loss of interest and also air borne diseases. An underground water source here may lead to mental trauma, insomnia, early maturity in children and a door in this direction can lead to accidents. A heavy construction in the north and a light construction in the south or a heavy construction in east and a light construction in the west obstruct the flow of air and energy associated with good health and thus cause insomnia, mental tension, physical weakness and prolonged ailments.


Any construction in the Brahma place i.e. in the middle of the house or an underground water source or source of fire gives path to deadly diseases, hallucinations, stomach aches, insomnia and mental disorders.


South-west extension and underground water source is associated with bad health of the male child, mental trauma, fear, insomnia, post accident ailments and water related syndromes of kidney.


Underground water source in the west gives birth to gynecological problems, fits and instability. Underground water sources in the south causes gynecological problems, cerebral disorders, mental tension and impatience.


By following the simple principles of Vaastu one can enjoy good health.

Vaastu – Energy pattern and Stagnation

It is in practice that builders would not follow the Vastu rules in the commercial constructions. They feel no fear in violating Vastu rules. The minimum period required for a construction is 1 year and in care of multistory building it could be 2-3 years. Any violation in Vastu rules result in the down fall of the builder in 6 months whereas an honest attitude towards Vastu Purusha and Vastu rules can bring happiness and prosperity in the life of the builder within an year.


If the energy pattern of the Vastu Purush is saved at the initial stages of the construction of a commercial complex, then the further construction runs smoothly. If the construction begins from the north east or the Ishaan and moves towards south, it would be result in innumerable problems whereas if construction starts from south and moves towards the north i.e. Ishaan angel is saved till the last, then not only the project would complete in scheduled time but the fiancés would be available in ample. The direction for prosperity is north. Every precaution should be taken to protect the energy channels of the north from getting disturbed. The doors of the north should be as per the ‘Dwar Yojna’ of Vastu and the construction in the south should be heavy in comparison to north to ensure prosperity and a respectable position in the society. One of the major problems in south and west facing plots in that a certain set back has to be left as per the government rules. In this case the builder should sacrifice some land to protect the ‘Ishaan’ angle or the north direction of the plot. If the setback of north and south remains equal in measurement, the results could be extraordinarily good. It is convenient to take such precautions in commercial plots as compared to residential because of the big area of the former.


Each direction has one or two auspicious doors as prescribed by the Vastu rules. The question arises in cases of normal shops with about 10-15ft widths where more than 4 doors are present. With one auspicious door one has to accept an inauspicious door also. The remedy to this is to close the front completely and get one auspicious small door or gate.


In commercial complexes any construction on the vital parts of the Vastu Purush as column wall, door, window etc. would confine or cease the success and prosperity. If vital parts of Vastu Purusha are saved there could be a surprising hike in business, and peace in family life.


The main doors in a commercial complex should be marked before the construction and symbolic doors should be left to get the benefits from the deity of that door. Door in acute north-west or Vayava brings death or imprisonment, door in southwest brings losses and court cases, door in south east or Agni brings problems related to children whereas door North east or Ishaan bring fire accidents. If these doors are not constructed then problems related to these sectors will never come. If there is no door in the northwest direction or between the west and north west or Vayavya then there would be no fear from government or loaning agencies.


Disputed lands generally have extension either in Southwest or have a door here. This small Vastu defect even if it is of a few inches extension if removed can and various problems of the owner and can infuse a new energy in his life. The centre of the plot should be saved from foundation of staircase etc. A decorated door in the acute north will not only bring prosperity in your life but will also make you three generations successful.


In big commercial complexes heavy constructions should be in south and west as compared to North and East to ensure prosperity, control of the society. For immense prosperity in a commercial complex, apart from simple Vastu remedies at least two auspicious doors (amongst Bhallat, Jayant, Varun and Grihishat) should be there. As per the texts south is the most powerful part of a plot.


The standards given by Varahmihir for the places can be now applied on big commercial complexes. If we follow the principles of constructions as had been implemented in the palaces, we have to come out of our greed and restrict ourselves in North facing cited in south building restricted upto 20% of the total plot area, astonishing results could be achieved within stipulated time of 3-5 years.

Vaastu shastra dates back to the Vedas or the eternal books of knowledge. It is referred to as an Upaveda of Atharvaveda. 1. Balance the primary elements, that is, space, water, earth, fire and wind, of an area with the assistance of a Vaastu Guru.
2. Always orient to the cardinal directions i.e. North, South, West or East.
3. Orientation can also be based on your astrological sign.
4. Never orient to the angular directions i.e. North-East, North-West, South-East or South-West.
5. Have a compound wall on all the four sides.
6. Create a depression all along the boundary wall within the site by creating a green belt or flower path.
7. Elevate the building to three feet above road level.
8. De-activate the Paisacha zone (of negative energies) by keeping the compound walls away from the main building.
9. Mahadwara or the main door lets in the Pranavayu or the primary energies into the terrestrial habitation. The dimensions of the door should be carefully selected for proper flow of these energies into the building.
10. Keep the center of your building free of depressions, pillars, columns and water.
11. The center or the northeast of an area is ideal for a Puja room.
12. Let your daughters occupy the North-West rooms.
13. Elders can sleep with their heads to the South and the youngsters to the East. Turn to the right as you get up from your bed.
14. Patients and sick members of your family can occupy the North-East rooms.
15. Masters of the house can occupy the South and South-West rooms
16. Avoid the lunar months of Jyesta, Ashada, Bhadrapada, Ashwiyuja, Margasira, Pushya and Phalguna while laying the foundation of a building or a layout.
17. Lay your bore or dig a well when the constellations Revathi, Uttarabhadra, Hasta, Anuradha, Makha, Sravana, Rohini and Pushyami are rising.
18. Activate finances by a proper placement of the primary element Udaka or water.

11.The hearth or oven must be arranged in eastern southeast direction of the entire house, in such a way that the person cooking faces east.

12.The shadow of any tree should not fall on the house.

13.Pictures of any war scenes, demons, one in anger should not be placed in the house.

14.The slope of the property should be from West to east or South to north.
